  • The Bangkok Airport Rail Link - 2015

The Bangkok Airport Rail Link goes from Suvarnabhumi Airport to the centre of Bangkok. It also links to the MRT (underground) and BTS (skytrain) in the heart of Bangkok. The Bangkok Airport Rail Link works out much cheaper than a taxi if you are travelling solo or even as a couple. It is especially good if you are travelling light. Where taxis can be 300-400 baht to your hotel or to the Airport with all surcharges, toll fees and meter fees are totalled up, using the Airport Rail Link saves money and can save on time too. For larger groups and if you have a lot of bags it is still recommended to take a taxi due to the lack of escalators/lifts, also the changing to the MRT at Makkasan and BTS at Phaya Thai is not ideal. The signal man shows the green flag to let the driver of the Nakhon Sawan bound train that it is ok to pass over the manually controlled level crossing. This train which was also being pulled by a ALD AD24C Alsthom locomotive made a stop at Samsen before passing over the crossing. Inside the signal box the signal man told me that the Nakhon Sawan bound train is due to cross in about 10 minutes.

You can ride from Pai to Mae Hong Son and back in a day, as we did, but be sure to get an early start to allow for stopping along the way and exploring Mae Hong Son when you arrive. The distance from Pai to Mae Hong Son is approximately 150km and takes about 3 hours by private vehicle, or 4 hours by minibus. Route 1095 is scenic, curvy and has only one gas station. If you're on a bike take advantage of filling up all the way in Pai, Mae Hong Son and the village town in between. On the way back to Pai, we were running on empty and having visions of pushing the bike through the hills at night when we finally made it to the village town in between... th...

Makkasan Station to Suvarnabhumi Airport Journey. Date: 4th April 2015. Cost: 30 Baht View in HD for better quality. Subscribe for more videos. More Info: Considering the traffic that can choke Bangkok, it’s hard to beat the Airport Rail Link, which opened in 2010. Local trains make the journey in 24 minutes from the airport station to Makkasan (transfer to the MRT subway) or 28 minutes to Phaya Thai (transfer to the BTS skytrain, Sukhumvit line) for a maximum fare of 45 baht. Local trains depart every 10 to 20 minutes and stop at several other points in east Bangkok. As of 2015, the old express airport link trains had stopped running. If you're going somewhere not convenient to one of the Airport Rail Link stations (or the MRT/BTS system), it can still be faster and cheaper to take the train into the city during rush hour (07:30-09:30 and 16:30-20:30) and then catch a cab in the city centre. The Suvarnabhumi Airport Link station is accessed from the basement (B floor) of the airport, with signs pointing the way from the upper floors.

It was constructed under a concession concept. For the first MRT line, officially known as Chaloem Ratchamongkhon or informally as the "Blue Line", most civil infrastructure were provided by the government sector, Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), and handed over to their concessionaire under a 25-year concession agreement. Bangkok Metro Company Limited (BMCL) is the only private sector company that won a bid in MRTA's concession contract for the blue line.

For me PTT gas stations in Thailand are much better than the competition, They offer more and by far have the cleanest bathrooms. Pai to Mae Hong Son, highway 1095 by motorbike. Mae Hong Son is a remote town in the mountains of northern Thailand on the border of Burma. On the way back to Pai, we were running on empty and having visions of pushing the bike through the hills at night when we finally made it to the village town in between... thirsty, tired, dirty and out of fuel... we loved it! Thanks for watching! xoxo, Christine

www.renegadetravels.com/bangkok-to-kanchanaburi-by-train/. This is the train from Nam Tok that passes over the River Kwai Bridge arriving at Bangkok's Thonburi station. There are many people that live right next to the railway line. In some cases just inches away.

Previous video = https://youtu.be/UMzBBXAJTi0 Next Video = https://youtu.be/IArCJXK46Ks playlist - https://goo.gl/dOUJck (Hitchhiking in Thailand) Stay at Police stations in Thailand. This is what I did while hitchhiking in Thailand. Yes, it also helped me to save money ;) But this also gave me an opportunity to experience one of the best hospitality by a Police organisation. After the first hitchhike in Thailand (https://youtu.be/UMzBBXAJTi0) I reached Tak. I went to the police station to seek their help in getting an accommodation. Watch this video to know what happened later!. I started hitchhiking from Ayutthaya and reached Tak in the evening. In my previous videos, you can see how I reached Ayutthaya in the cheapest train (https://goo.gl/NCs71z). I visited the old city and the famous temples (https://goo.gl/EyyNjz) of Ayutthaya. I also got almost free water and cheap vegetarian food in Ayutthaya (https://goo.gl/rkRX7f). Watch this one know how I found a guesthouse for only 150 Thai Baht in Ayutthaya (https://goo.gl/2zBbF4) My blog: http://www.touristhelpline.com 1. Thailand videos at https://goo.gl/nvdpww 2.
